On Friday, January 16, 2015: E. 17th Street from Hickory Street to Garland Street by Fairview Elementary School shall be converted from “One Way Traffic” to “Limited One Way and Two Way Traffic” depending on the time of day. During the hours of 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM and 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM on Monday-Friday, it shall be “One Way.” At all other times, it shall be “Two Way Traffic.” New street signs shall be installed Friday, January 16, 2015. Also, a Four-Way Stop shall be placed at Hickory Street and E. 17th Street. This conversion is part of the new sidewalk system installed from County Ave to Fairview Elementary. Future Sidewalk improvements will work to tie Jefferson Ave. to Fairview Elementary.

Contractor has resolved his asphalt mix design and plans the following:
Friday – Close road from 8:00 am till noon to pave the side street connections to Jefferson Avenue.
Monday – Close road from 8:00 am till 5:00 pm to pave Jefferson Avenue.
They will hand out written notices to residents living off Jefferson Avenue in the construction zone informing them of the work. Residents living within the construction zone will be allowed to enter/exit.
The contractor is being charged a monetary penalty per day for the project delays.
