- Prescription Drugs
The Miller County Sheriff’s Office provides a year-round drop site for prescription drugs. Learn more about the program here.
Arkansas-side residents can take tires to the Richardson Waste transfer station for recycling. The station is located on Miller County Road 10, just off Highway 71 South. Space is limited and residents are asked to call 870-653-3579 before bringing tires to the drop site.
Paint cannot be accepted at the landfill. However, if you have some half-empty cans of paint you can mix cat litter with it to dry the paint, then dispose of it with your household garbage.
TVs and computer monitors cannot be accepted at the landfill. However, these electronics and others are accepted at the monthly Green Texarkana event and at the UNICOR recycling facility.
- Fluorescent light bulbs
Compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) contain mercury and cannot be accepted at the landfill. However, stores like Lowe’s and The Home Depot recycle these bulbs.
Household quantities of glass will be accepted at Target stores nationwide.
