Proposed Stormwater Management Ordinance Documents
The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ), under regulations administered by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), requires the city to meet certain requirements as established in the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System, Phase II, for small municipal separate storm sewer systems. City officials are responsible for upholding federal and state laws mandated by ADEQ & EPA and believe it to be in the best interest of the citizens of the City to enact provisions governing sediment and erosion control during construction projects and the prevention of stormwater pollution. The Public Works Department is proposing a Stormwater Management Ordinance that establishes the minimum requirements for construction site erosion and stormwater management associated with both future land development and existing developed land within the City. Copies of the draft documents comprising the proposed Stormwater Management Ordinance (ordinance, application, SWPPP Template, NOI and other miscellaneous documents) are provided below and may be downloaded for your review. The City will be hosting a Builder’s Meeting on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. in the 2nd Floor Boardroom at City Hall. Builders, contractors, engineers and other interested parties are welcome to attend and provide comment and input.
